Visit Miramar

Quinta Avenida or "Embassy Row." Originally called Avenida de las Américas, Quinta Avenida stretches from the tunnel that connects it to Calzada Street in Vedado to the Santa Ana River in Santa Fe. Considered the most beautiful avenue of the era, its construction was decisive in the development of Miramar. Some of the most emblematic places to visit in Miramar include Fountain of the Americas, Clock Tower, Church of Santa Rita da Cascia, Maqueta Museum of Havana, House of Music, and Miramar's Church of Jesus.

Visit Havana

Early in the morning visit the Old Town "Habana Vieja" (visit all day), some of it faded and decaying, but with many buildings beautifully restored thanks to UNESCO World Heritage designation.

Vedado's Malecón, a long wall bordering Havana, is perfect for a half-day stroll, especially on weekends when it comes alive with spontaneous parties. The H.Upmann Cigar Factory in Vedado (23 entre 14 y 16) offers an interesting look at Cuban cigar production. Among the city's main attractions are the Museum of the Revolution and the Capitol Palace, which offer an immersion in Cuban history and culture. The Partagas Cigar Factory, located behind the Capitol, offers half-hour guided tours for 10 CUC. For an evening stroll, Prado Street is a lively place, although not lit up at night. In Old Havana, the Catedral de San Cristobal is a unique example of Baroque architecture with one tower wider than the other. Also in Old Havana, Plaza de Armas and Castillo de la Real Fuerza are sites of great historical importance.

The beaches of Guanabo and Santa Maria del Mar, in East Havana, offer crystal clear waters and white sand, ideal for a day of relaxation.
